Elevating Unanet’s GAUGE Report to New Heights

The Objective

For eight years, Unanet and CohnReznick have collaborated to produce the GAUGE Report, a trusted resource for the government contracting (GovCon) industry. The 2024 edition, Balancing Efficiencies & Compliance with AI Insights, offers deep industry analysis based on feedback from 1,255 professionals, including 50% C-level executives. The report explores how AI can help firms win federal contracts while maintaining compliance and efficiency.

With the growing complexity of the GovCon landscape, Carbon Design partnered with Unanet to reimagine the GAUGE Report’s presentation, ensuring the insights were not only accessible but also compelling and actionable. Our goal was to create a highly engaging, data-driven, and visually enhanced resource that would drive impact, downloads, and brand engagement.

Our Approach

Carbon Design worked closely with Unanet to enhance the GAUGE Report’s design, structure, and content strategy. Our process included:

Visual & Narrative Overhaul

We modernized the report’s layout to improve readability and storytelling, transforming complex data into engaging visuals and infographics that enhanced comprehension and retention.

Each section featured a concise breakdown of applicable AI processes and tools, making it easier for readers to implement insights.

We included a concluding discussion with Unanet and CohnReznick executives, reinforcing key takeaways with expert perspectives.

Multi-Channel Content Strategy

We developed key assets, including a 60-page GovCon benchmark report, an eBook summarizing seven years of GAUGE insights, two focused excerpts on compliance efficiency and AI implementation, and a targeted social media campaign to highlight key findings and drive engagement.

Our Work

This content was honored with a prestigious Finny Award, recognizing excellence in creativity and impact.

This content earned a Gold Davey Award for Integrated Campaign – recognized for creativity and execution.

The Result

By refining the GAUGE Report’s design, narrative, and promotion strategy, Carbon Design helped Unanet establish the report as an indispensable industry resource. The integration of AI-driven insights and enhanced storytelling positioned Unanet as a thought leader in GovCon, while the strategic distribution ensured greater reach and impact.

Brand Repositioning for
MSP turned MSaaS Provider

The Objective

Trextel, former Managed Service Provider (MSP) turned Managed Services as a Service (MSaaS) provider, sought Carbon’s expertise to refine and reposition its brand identity and messaging in the market.

The Solution

Carbon guided the Trextel team through a comprehensive rebranding journey. This included the creation of a new logo, redefined brand positioning, and updated messaging to align with their MSaaS focus. The project also encompassed the development of engaging content, a redesigned website with a dedicated MSP resource center, and the design of email/newsletter templates. Additionally, Carbon produced a suite of print and digital sales and marketing assets to support Trextel’s new brand identity.
