Joe Camaratta

Joe specializes in medical technology innovation and commercialization, taking products from concept to clinical adoption. He built businesses for GE Healthcare and Siemens Healthcare in medical imaging, cardiology and oncology. He also founded and funded two early stage healthcare IT companies to commercialize university-developed technologies.

Joe has 25+ years of experience in innovation and commercialization of technologies that impact patient care. His clients include Fortune 50 companies, public and private SMBs and startups operating in the medical device, healthcare IT and life sciences industries. He helps clients generate customer insights to identify new opportunities for growth, and develop and implement strategies to capitalize on those opportunities.

Joe currently serves as an advisor to the Entrepreneurial Investing Program of the Crohn’s & Colitis Foundation, and the University Science Center QED Program focused on commercialization of academic innovations. He is a former Committee Member for the American Heart Association’s Science and Technology Accelerator, and was previously a Partner with Novatorium, a business incubator and provider of venture capital to companies in the health and wellness sector.
